A Little About Me
I'm a software engineer with experience in many areas of computer
science, including computer graphics and scientific visualization,
web development, digital signal processing, game development, and parallel
processing. I'm a problem solver and a quick learner who can pick
up new skills easily.
I've worked as a teaching assistant, instructing first-year
computer science students in learning the fundamental aspects of
functional and object-oriented programming in Python. I've also
worked as a research assistant, working with applying in situ
computer graphics techniques to exascale scientific
visualizations. Most recently, I've started designing audio plug-ins
using JUCE in my freetime for use in my own music.
Through leadership positions as a Finance Senator in the student government
and as the Music Director of an internationally renowned a cappella group,
I have gained crucial leadership skills. I've had experience collaborating
with people and learned how to effectively communicate my point of view while
making an effort to understand and consider the viewpoints of others. These
are skills that I could bring with me to the work environment.
My travel experiences have also taught me to be more open minded and adaptable
in any situation, fostering my love for perpetual learning.
